Regret for buying the wrong security door! These 4 points must be understood before changing doors!

Does anti-theft depend on the security door or the lock? Doors are important, but locks are the core of home security. Common anti-theft doors are generally A/B/C-level lock cylinders, and professional thieves can unlock them for up to five minutes. The C-level lock cylinder used in the Mepull M50 smart lock is the highest-level lock cylinder currently certified in the world. Theoretically, the abnormal unlocking time is as long as 270 minutes, and it also has an alarm function, which is far incomparable to A/B-level locks. .

You need to know”Security door” is an important product in “security”.

What is a security door? Do you really know?

First, a concept must be clarified:

The standard name for “anti-theft door” should be “anti-theft security door”.

To buy reliable products, you must know:

All long-term popular products in the market will be constrained by national standards.

Every time we see a news release that XXX products are unqualified, it means that they have been tested in accordance with the corresponding national standards, and only then can we find “unqualified”. It is not that a product is judged as “unqualified” by just checking it, looking at it with the naked eye, and roughly speaking.

The standard for anti-theft doors is GB 17565-2007 “General Technical Conditions for Anti-theft Security Doors”.

Some products implement industry standards, such as those beginning with JC or JG. Although this type of product can also be used as a basis for product testing, it is not necessarily mandatory.

But if the standard of some products starts with GB, it proves that this is the national standard, and it must be enforced!

Another example to help you understand:

Industry standards are a bit like managers, directors, and sales. You can take whatever you want, as long as you admit it internally.

The national standard is the police, doctors, lawyers, etc., either in legal positions or occupations that require professional qualifications. Every one who bears such a title must strictly meet the relevant requirements!

The reason why I talked about the standard for a long time is that there are many doors on the market. In fact, they are not “anti-theft security doors”, but they just look a bit like them.

For some new houses, the standard configuration of developers is not “anti-theft doors”, but “steel doors”.

There are also many merchants in the market who also sell ordinary metal doors under the names of “anti-pick doors”, “safety doors”, “pure copper doors”, etc.!

The appearance of the steel door is very similar to that of the security door, and it is easy to be confused if it just looks.

There are also various metal doors (such as copper doors) under the banner of import, if they do not meet the requirements of the GB national standard, they are not actually “anti-theft doors”.

There are four grades of anti-theft doors, namely: A, B, C, and D.

All security doors must be covered with a poke on the side near the hinge, about 1.6 meters high from the bottom of the door.

Usually, developers use either not anti-theft doors, or most of them are Class C or D.

It is very rare to have such a conscience to use a Class A security door for you! !

Do you want to change the door?

There are four grades of A, B, C, and D. It seems that C and D are very low…but they are not.

At least, Class C and Class D are still classified as “anti-theft doors”, which are much stronger than many ordinary “steel doors”!

At the end what situations need to change the door, I summed up 4 situations!

1) Check to see if it is an anti-theft door, or you can replace it if it is not.

To distinguish whether it is a security door or not, the above has taught you a trick:

a. Weight. The security door is relatively heavy due to the large thickness of the steel plate and the complex process.

b. Lock point. There are generally no less than 6 locking points around (including upper and lower).

c. Knock. Knock on the door to see if the door is “thumping” like a drum, or if it’s very quiet. The sound is loud, which means the vibration is large, either the steel plate is thin or the craftsmanship is poor.

If the above 3 phenomena exist, but the stamp is still covered, then this door may be a “knock-off product”.

▲The internal use of “honeycomb paper” is an unspoken rule in the security door industry. Although the actual harm is not as terrible as it looks, it is still necessary to upgrade the metal honeycomb!

If you are not using a security door, or a fake security door, it is worth changing a class-A security door!

But still, remind:

Even if it is not an anti-theft door, the actual door replacement rate is actually less than 50%, and there are few safety problems if it is not replaced.

2) If it is grade C and grade D, you can change it or not.

Let’s first list the differences between several levels of “anti-theft security doors”:

Let’s first list the differences between several levels of “anti-theft security doors”:

Grade A: The time to prevent external damage shall not be less than 30 minutes, and the thickness of the steel of the door body of the Grade A security door must be 2mm.

Grade B: The time for preventing external damage shall not be less than 15 minutes, and the thickness of the steel of the door body of the Grade B security door must be 2mm.

Grade C: The time to prevent external damage shall not be less than 10 minutes, and the thickness of the steel of the door body of the Grade C anti-theft door must be 1.8mm.

D-level: the time to prevent external damage shall not be less than 6 minutes, and the steel thickness of the door body of the D-level anti-theft door must be 1.5mm.

“Anti-external damage time” means that no matter what form of abnormal opening method is adopted by the outside world, the anti-theft door cannot be opened within XX minutes, nor can the anti-theft door be opened by destroying the steel door body. …

Of course, I think this is a cliché, and a C4 bomb should be unbearable…

However, you should still understand:

Even if it is a D-class security door, it is impossible to break open “without making some noise”!

From D to A, of course, there is progress.

However, I personally think that progress is actually very limited!

You can change it or not, it’s not a must!

3) Investigate the city where you live, and how many thefts are “break-ins”.

According to the news I have tracked over the years, it is very rare to damage the entrance door.

The vast majority of burglaries or robberies are either “lock picking” or an acquaintance opening the door to commit the crime.

But any bad person with a little brain will basically not choose to “break the door”!

Those who will choose to “break in” are basically the following people:

Unless you want to block not the bad guys, but the police and firefighters, otherwise, ordinary security doors are enough!

4) If you know that “the security door is not the best”, will you not be able to sleep?

In addition to the “real world” anti-theft door, the security door can also give the occupants a “virtual sense of security”.

Although there are not many such cases, friends I know do have this:

Can’t sleep just thinking that the doors and windows of your home may not be safe enough…

If this is the case for you too, then… change to a class-A security door!

A good night’s sleep is more important than these thousands of dollars!

Is it equally important to match the anti-theft door with the anti-theft door lock?

More door manufacturers are more willing to cooperate directly with developers. The focus of technology research and development is not on how to make the door better, but on how to save costs as much as possible, and use inferior door lock cylinders, which are easily damaged.

Let’s take a look at two Mepull products:

1) Pure copper lock cylinder, double keys

The built-in material and pin of this pure copper lock cylinder are made of copper, which is more sturdy
Compared with before, Mepull has also introduced a new generation of fingerprint lock products in the anti-theft door system, which is a bright spot. This fingerprint lock can be matched with our pure copper anti-theft lock cylinder, which has a higher safety factor

2) Rim locks

Traditional security products, but there are many product highlights.

Two of them are more attractive:

a. It also has a built-in pure copper lock cylinder, lock tongue and square tongue. Compared with other factories that use aluminum as anti-theft, the hardness of copper is very high.

As a small opening of the security series, there are still a bunch of reserved questions:

If the security door is not the key to security, then what is? window? door lock? cat eye? monitor?

Electronic door locks are so hot, are they any good? Should I just replace it without thinking? How is reliable?

The unlocking method is also considered more comprehensive: in addition to the commonly used fingerprints and passwords, you can also use the “door card” to unlock the lock. The old people in the home have aging fingerprints and the children’s fingerprints are relatively shallow, so it is more appropriate to use the “door card”.

In addition to an anti-prying, anti-test unlocking alarm, it can also prevent cat-eye unlocking, and the security is enough: you can remotely check the door lock status at any time through Wifi, and you can also set it to silent unlocking, so you won’t wake up your family when you go home in the middle of the night. Enough for ordinary households.

With the built-in WIFI module, you can view the door lock status, power, manage user passwords, fingerprints, etc. in real-time through your mobile phone without purchasing another gateway.

If you want a big-name smart lock with high-cost performance and excellent fingerprint recognition experience, “Mepull M50” is definitely a good choice~
